Course Overview
This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for general dentists at all stages of practice who want to learn how to safely and effectively incorporate Botox therapy into everyday dentistry.
Botox therapy has many applications in dental practice. When used to treat dental conditions, improvement of certain facial wrinkles is often an additional benefit. Your California dental license permits you to use botulinum toxin (Botox) for various dentally related conditions.
License Requirement:
All registered dentists must hold a current California Dental License.
Once registered, please email a copy of your license to Avani at avani@cagd.com
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the history, properties, and indications for Botox (botulinum toxins) in dentistry.
- Prepare appropriate Botox dosages and perform injection techniques for:
- TMJ pain and muscle spasm
- Bruxism (bruxation therapy)
- Aesthetic lip repositioning and smile contouring
- Treatment of associated migraines
- Discuss informed consent, including risks, benefits, and alternatives (RBAs).
- Clarify past confusion and regulatory considerations regarding Botox therapy for dentists.
Imagine: Eliminating a “gummy” smile or relieve bruxism using Botox as a valuable part of your clinical toolkit.
