COURSE DESCRIPTION
Explore the revolutionary world of dental 3D printing in this immersive and practical introductory course. This course will update brand-new hardware, software, and materials in the dental 3D printing world. The hands-on workshop is designed to provide dental professionals with essential skills and knowledge to harness the power of 3D printing for various applications in dentistry. From creating dental models to fabricating chairside cosmetic wax-ups, from printed Inlays, Crowns to Veneers. from chairside Splint printing to minor orthodontic aligners fabrication – this course equips participants with the tools to revolutionize their practices and enhance patient care.

For the Hands-On 3D Printing Course, please bring the following equipment: (Highly recommended)

PC Gaming Laptop (Recommend Gaming Laptops with at least i7 processor, min 16G of RAM, 10 G of free disk space, discrete nVidia graphic cards) Most laptops that come with intraoral scanners should have sufficient performance for this course.
For those who do not currently own a laptop that is up to spec, the following laptop is recommended at Costco or Best Buy. (Costo is recommended as it has a great return and warranty policy)

We will show some interesting advanced utility of CAD if time allows.
The goal of this hands-on course is to give attendees the software and workflow necessary to fully utilize 3D Printers in a clinical setting. Currently, Medit App is completely free to use and it works with any open intraoral system that can export scans in STL or OBJ format. (Sirona, Cerec, 3Shape, Dexis, Shinning, iTero) A link will be provided for clinical scan cases as well as sample dentition files.
If you have any Splint / Wax up / Aligner / Crown and Bridge clinical cases you would like to use for the hands-on training please have those ready as well.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course will showcase efficient clinical workflow utilizing chairside 3D Printing technology. We will cover the latest dental software, resin materials, and new 3D Printing technology available to clinicians. This course is geared to jumpstart clinical 3DP clinical utility for general and cosmetic practices. By the end of the course, attendees should be able to scan, design, print, and post-process occlusal splints, indirect ceramic resin restorations, and cosmetic waxups. This course is designed for dentists who is considering adding 3D Printing technology and dentists who want to expand the clinical utility of their chairside 3D Printing system.
