When Botox is used to treat dental conditions\, an additional benefit often includes the smoothing of certain facial wrinkles. Your California dental license allows you to administer botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for various dental-related treatments. \nNote: All dentists registering for this course must submit a copy of their current California Dental License. \nAfter registering\, please email your license copy to Avani at avani@cagd.com. \n\n  \n\nCOURSE OBJECTIVES\nThis course provides comprehensive training on botulinum toxin (Botox) therapy in dentistry\, including its history\, dosage preparation\, and detailed injection techniques. You’ll learn how to effectively treat a variety of dental-related conditions\, such as TMJ disorders\, muscle spasms\, bruxism\, aesthetic lip repositioning\, smile contouring\, and associated migraine relief. The curriculum also covers informed consent\, clearly outlining the risks\, benefits\, and alternatives (RBAs)\, while addressing common areas of confusion regarding Botox use by dental professionals. \nDiscover how Botox can transform smiles—reducing gummy smiles and preventing bruxism! \n  \nABOUT THE SPEAKER\n  \nDr. Andrew Blumenfeld is Director of The Los Angeles Headache Centre with offices in San Diego and Los Angeles. He is Board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also certified in Headache Medicine. \nDr. Blumenfeld is a member and fellow of both the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society. He is the founding chair of the American Headache Society section on Interventional Procedures for Headache. He has published widely and has over 100 publications. One of his manuscripts was voted the top publication in the Headache journal. \nHis research interests have focused on the use of Botox for migraine.
