ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Steven Shao is a Southern California native and graduate of Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Class of 2004. He also holds a BS in Biology and a minor in Economy from the University of California San Diego. Together with his wife, Dr. Mai Ong, Dr. Shao is a full-time dentist at their dental clinic, Sunrise Dental Center, in Huntington Beach. He is a proud father of two girls.
Dr. Shao’s passions extend far beyond dentistry. He is an avid follower of space exploration technologies, operates Unicone Design which consults in the field of automobile, architecture, rapid prototyping, and product design and development. He enjoys traveling, music, animals, art, science, engineering, and design. .
As an advocate for 3D printing technology, Dr. Shao teaches 3D printing to dentists and children through various STEM programs. His dedication to advancing the dental industry through innovative technologies is reflected in his passion for teaching and his own work as a dentist.
